Ethics and Infant Mental Health
November 7, 2025 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

Ethical practice is the foundation of high-quality infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH) work. This training explores how core ethical principles—such as respect, beneficence, integrity, and justice—apply uniquely when working with infants, young children, and their families.
Participants will examine common ethical dilemmas that arise in IECMH, including:
- Balancing confidentiality with family and system needs
- Navigating cultural humility and equity in early relationships
- Managing boundaries and dual roles in close-knit communities
- Applying reflective practice to guide ethical decision-making
Through discussion, case examples, and guided reflection, participants will strengthen their ability to make ethical choices that support the well-being of infants, families, and professionals.
